• The season starting from sowing to harvesting of the crop is called crop season.
  • There are two crop seasons in a year. They are:

i. Kharif Season:

  • 1st April to 30th September 
  • South west Monsoon to Autumn. 
  • Summer season

 

ii. Rabi Season:

  • 1st October to 31st March
  • Autumn to Spring 
  • Winter season

 

iii. Zaid Season

  • between the Rabi (winter) and Kharif (monsoon) seasons,
  • from March to June.
